Elisa Harley

Stage 3

Conservation & Sustainability Business & Entrepreneurship Community

Kia ora!
My name is Elisa Harley, and I am passionate about making products for the planet. A love for both entrepreneurship and the environment has thrown me into the business world - a world I think I will be in for quite a while!
Whilst my very, very first ventures were 14-year-old me, selling succulents and native plants throughout lockdown, it was 16-year-old Elisa’s idea that changed my life!
Planting trees shouldn’t create plastic waste.
That's why I founded Enivo www.enivo.co.nz. A startup aiming to reduce plastic waste in the horticulture industry, starting with reducing the 350,000,000 plastic plant pots we use every year in NZ.
I have spent the past 3 years working with scientists and industry leaders to make a biodegradable plant pot that goes straight into the ground with the plant.
With support from over $130,000 in grants, we have developed 4 generations of prototypes and conducted 3 successful field trials. Now, we are about to start manufacturing our pilot pots in Auckland!
People laugh at me when I mention the Pinnacle Program because every time I do anything with it, I say it was the best experience of my life! But honestly, it's true. Spirit of Adventure was the most fun 10 days of my life, Outward Bound was the most transformational 21 days of my life, and the Stage 3 Retreat was the most priceless 3 days of my life. They each challenged and shaped me differently, but all pushed me closer to becoming the best version of myself.
I am beyond excited for stage 3, keeping strong to my values, pushing towards my mission, and always remembering my why. “Love God, love people and love the planet”.
