Hi, my name is Anouk, and I'm a Pinnacle student with way too many passions to fit into my busy life, let alone this profile! So, I'll keep it short.
I'm a competitive Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Netball player, who has been selected for representative teams in all three, as well as the New Zealand Beach Volleyball U19 Development Squad. I love everything about sport, from the thrill of playing and achieving as a team, to the individual rush I get from pushing myself to my absolute limits.
I also have a passion for music, and in the little free time I have, will busy myself writing songs by a beach somewhere, or jamming around a campfire with a bunch of cool strangers.
I am in my last year of secondary school, and next year I plan to fulfill my passion for science at Massey University in Albany, studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and minoring in Marine Biology. My dream career is to become a wildlife journalist, writing for organisations such as National Geographic and Greenpeace. This would allow me to never stop learning about the fascinating world around us and the incredible life that inhabits it, as well as educate the public about the environmental issues that threaten to destroy it.
I am honoured to be a part of the Pinnacle Programme, and so grateful for the opportunities it has given me and the confidence I have gained through it.
