Kia Ora, my name is Angalla Carney, and I am currently in Year 12 at Iona College in Hawkes Bay.
I'm a very active person who craves competition and loves to be challenged. I'm a hard worker and constantly strive for academic excellence, sporting success, and high achievement in the performing arts.
In my last three seasons, I have had national success in my two main sports, Rowing and Pole Vault. I have won four national titles and have medaled 23 times in national and North Island competitions representing my school, club, and region. In the future, I aim to represent New Zealand as an athlete.
I’m proud of my academic achievements to date, having won two school academic scholarships and achieving Level 1 with excellence endorsement.
I really enjoy the performing arts and take every opportunity that I can to be on stage. I have completed my Trinity grade 7 singing exam and am currently working towards my grade 8. I have been involved in numerous shows and musicals over the years and have a lead role in my school's production for the second year in a row.
I feel so privileged to have been selected for stage one of the Pinnacle Programme, and I’m really enjoying every aspect of it so far!
