Kate Robinson

My name is Kate Robinson. I am 16 yrs old from North Auckland, and go to Kaipara College.  My passion is Olympic Freestyle Wrestling. I have been wrestling for 6 years and hold 5 national titles.  Earlier this year I placed 10th at the Journeyman World Tournament in New York. While I’m always looking to improve, I learnt a lot through my experience at the Tournament. I am currently working towards Oceania’s in Australia. From there I would like to compete at the Under 17 World’s, the Commonwealth Games and ultimately the Olympics.  In the future I wish to encourage and mentor other athletes to reach their full potential. I am so grateful to be selected for the Pinnacle Programme and I know it will help me reach my goals and help me prepare to achieve them and I will make lifelong connections on the way.
