Raised on a farm in Dargaville, Robett then grew up in Fiji and Christchurch, represented New Zealand in both basketball and soccer before pursuing a career as a professional snowboarder, where we received a silver medal at the World Finals.

Transitioning to entrepreneurship, Robett founded New Zealand's largest Action Sports Media Network in 2006, which included community websites, smartphone apps, national events, and internationally distributed television shows.

In 2013 he established FRONTSIDE, a leading content strategy and video production agency, creating content for clients such as Heineken, BMW, ASB, and Veuve Clicquot before being acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi/Publicis Groupe. He also founded ColabNZ, New Zealand's largest network of co-working spaces for tech startups with 10 locations, before its acquisition. He's now based in San Francisco where he now owns a Golf Course.

Robett's served as a Board Member for the NZ Technology Industry Association and Figure NZ, founded the New Zealand Entrepreneurs Festival, and was a Judge for the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards. Recognized as one of LinkedIn’s Top 3 Most Influential New Zealanders, listed among Metro Magazine’s Top 10 Innovators, a Local Hero Awards Medalist, and a nominee for Kiwibank’s New Zealander of the Year.
