I grew up on my parents dairy farms between Methven and Ashburton while attending Mount Hutt College. I was heavily involved in sport life being a head student, top Mount Hutt Student as well as gaining Excellence in all three years of NCEA while competing for New Zealand in triathlon around the world. I made the move up to Waikato University on a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship for triathlon, leadership and academics. I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Agribusiness. During my time I interned at Fonterra in Auckland, which lead to a full-time job post graduation on their Business Grad Program as a Supply Chain Graduate.
I saw the Pinnacle Programme as an opportunity to expand my network beyond my small town. I have always been confident in meeting others and making connections, but having to bond with strangers in vulnerable situations like Outward Bound and Spirit of Adventure is something I didn’t expect to learn.
I went on Spirit of Adventure in July 2017 where I thrived in meeting new people in a completely new environment and loved the challenge of 10 days away from my normal routine.
I had an intense Outward Bound experience which opened my eyes to mental toughness that wasn’t just about sport and competing on the international stage.
I can genuinely say the Pinnacle Programme has changed my life. I have met some of my best friends, been on adventures of a lifetime & have grown into the best version of myself.
The Pinnacle Programme is a safe space to grow. It is a community of commitment individuals with the desire to better themselves.
