Manawatu born and bred, Andy has been involved in the transport industry for more than 40 years. A qualified mechanical engineer who kicked off his own business at the tender age of 21, which he quickly expanded into three branches within his home province. Andy spent the next decade establishing an olive grove in the Wairarapa, while working as a contract car buyer before taking the GM role of the Hyundai dealership in Masterton. Andy subsequently went on to lead Hyundai NZ as General Manager, a role he has thrived in for nearly ten years now. Andy sits on the Board of the Pinnacle Programme, is the current President of the Motor Industry Association (MIA), along with being a valued board member for the NZ Hydrogen Council and a member of the Institute of Directors. With travel as a major contributor to Andy’s career, he has travelled extensively throughout Asia, Europe and the US where he attended the prestigious Harvard Business School for professional development in 'Leadership Best Practice'. Andy takes great pride in his family which includes wife Sarah, boys’ Oliver and Oscar and his daughters’ Alexandra and Grace.
